1944-2016

Bob Depro channeled his passion for history into a

34-year teaching career as a champion for the students of

Sikeston High School.  Announcing as the “Voice of the Bulldogs”

or attending their sporting events, Depro

cheered on his beloved Bulldogs for over 50 years. 

His final legacy to Sikeston Public Schools in the fall of 2017

was his gift of almost $1.8 million to the Sikeston Public Schools Foundation

to establish the Bob Depro Scholarship Fund.  The purpose

of this fund is to provide college scholarships

for students graduating from Sikeston Public Schools. 

This donation reflects his generous spirit.  Bob Depro leaves a

remarkable footprint on our community and our school system. 

Due to Mr. Depro’s generosity, the Sikeston Public Schools

Foundation is able to award scholarships to deserving students

each year.  These students submitted impressive applications

which showed their dedication to academics, extracurricular activities,

and community service.
